Sir,

As elected Mayor of Pembroke Dock 2015/16, I have decided to help a very worthwhile charity, which is the Alzheimer's Society. There are now so many people suffering from this and I want to help. I have arranged quite a few events to do just that.

Tomorrow (Saturday, July 11), I have arranged an event at the Maritime Society Boatyard in Front Street, Pembroke Dock, starting at 1 pm, with a viewing of all the boats that are being restored, some going back as far as 1920. I am hoping that lots of boats will come in and join us. There will also be a BBQ.

On August 8, Pembroke Town Council have organised a River Rally which starts from Pembroke Dock and finishes at the South Quay in Pembroke. Together with the Mayor of Pembroke, Pauline Waters, we will be doing an abseil down the castle wall, I will be doing it as Henry VII. I need all the support I can get.

On August 9, there will be a charity cricket match at Pembroke Dock Cricket Club, which starts at 1 pm. There will be a BBQ during the day.

On August 28, there will be a charity golf day at South Pembs. Golf Club, so I am looking for teams of four. The entry fee is £25 per person £100 for the team, with breakfast included. A team from Grove Golf Club in Porthcawl will also be attending. After the golf has finished, there will be a show in the evening with lots of talent, including Chris Didcote, Roger Ferris and his Trio and the Gorgeous Kirsten Orsborn. DJ and compere for the evening will be Mr. Steve Briers

Please come and support these events. Together we can achieve the £10,000 and help lots of Alzheimer's sufferers and those brilliant carers. Thank you.

If you would like to make a donation, you can contact me on 07867765716 or 01646-685234.

Peter Kraus,

Mayor of Pembroke Dock.
