Friends and family from Pembrokeshire, wider across Wales, England and Hungary recently celebrated the marriage of Mr. Mark Salanki, son of Mr. Julian Salanki, of Dèvavànya, Hungary, and Ms Karen Mills, of Blackpool, to Miss Louise Andrews, eldest daughter of Nev and Amanda Andrews, of Saundersfoot.
The bride looked stunning in a Maggie Sottero designer gown, of lace and tulle, with Swarovski crystal accents, with a matching crystal headdress and carried a bouquet of white calla lilies, and roses.
Louise was attended by bridesmaids Linzi Andrews (sister) and Harriet Merrony (school friend), who wore full-length gowns in cappuccino chiffon and satin and carried matching bride's bouquets. Harriet had travelled all the way from Bondi Beach, Australia, to attend the wedding. Logan Andrews, the bride's nephew, was a proud little page boy.
Best men were Liam Dowell and Matthew Wright, while the ushers were Scott Salanki and Matthew Dowell, who were all in morning suits with cappuccino cravats, to complement the bridesmaids' dresses.
The ceremony at St. Issell's Church, Saundersfoot, was conducted by Rev. Marianne Osborne, with Trevor Andrews (bride's grandfather), Zoe James (bride's cousin) and John Griffiths (groom's friend) kindly contributing readings to the service. Music was performed before and during the ceremony by local group 'At Harmony'.
During the journey from St. Issell's to the reception, Louise and Mark paused to place her bouquet on her late grandfather Eric Booth's grave at Cold Inn Chapel. A wonderful wedding breakfast followed at Beggars Reach Hotel, Burton, with the bride and groom cutting a magnificent four-tier wedding cake. After a brief rest for guests to recharge their batteries, an evening party with live music, dancing and making merry continued the celebrations.
The happy couple honeymooned in Cyprus. The groom, an insurance assessor and the bride, an IT project manager, have made their home on the outskirts of Blackpool.
