OVER the last four months people living in Bream have become accustomed to seeing a flock of sheep walking down the High Street but since the lambing season started the sheep are coming on to Highbury estate.
They are very clever walking over the cattle grid.
The residents not only have to watch the dog mess left by the careless owners who can't be bothered to clean up after them but also the mess left by the sheep who appear almost every morning leaving their mess behind them.
I thought it was against the law for sheep to appear in any village but who allows these sheep to enter our estate?
If you report this to the authorities they say to take photographs of them as evidence. What good is that when 95 per cent have no markings?
The Commoners' Association is powerless as the owner of these sheep is not one of their members.
Someone in authority needs to pay some attention to the residents of Bream before the people living with this continuing disgrace take matters in to their own hands and do something as the powers that be just ignore what is happening in this village.
One final thing, we help to finance the authority's budget but what are they giving us in return?
