POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a fatal two-car crash in Teignbridge.

A 53-year-old man, from Exeter, died following the accident in Tedburn Road, Whitstone.

Both cars involved had left the road and collided with a tree on the old A30 road, between Bakers Hill and Path Finder Village.

Emergency services were alerted at about 12.30pm on Tuesday and Devon Air Ambulance was also scrambled to attend.
