A man from Liverpool has been charged in connection with the theft of cash which was to have loaded into an ATM machine at Morrison's supermarket in Ross-on-Wye last October.
Doherty was originally arrested in January 2015, in relation to the offence which occurred on Friday 24th October 2014 in Ross on Wye. A cash in transit van was attacked whilst delivering cash to Morrisons' cash machines. Around £40,000 was stolen, and two people sustained slight injuries.
Detective Sergeant Andy Bennett said: "This charging decision is a culmination of some great detective work from the team, and a close co-operation with both Lancashire Police, and Merseyside Police. We'd like to thank everyone who assisted with the investigation and reassure the public that matters like these will be thoroughly investigated and brought before the courts."
