A funeral care team is thanking the local community for their support at a recent fundraising bingo event.
The event, held by the The Co-op Funeral Care Team, was reported to be a great success, raising £377 towards the restoration of the St Thomas Church Gates in Launceston.
Local businesses showed their generosity offering donations for the evenings bingo and the event itself was well attended by the local community.
Kenzie Watson of Co-op Funeral Care said: "Our prize bingo event to fundraise towards the restoration of St Thomas' Church gates on went extremely well, with lots of our Launceston community of all ages in attendance for a fun evening. With generous donations from local and surrounding businesses for the bingo and raffle prizes, we managed to raise a fantastic amount. We look forward to organising the next event to help bring our community together and support local causes"
Gemma Massey, Co-op member pioneer, expressed: “Our funeral care team have been working hard to give something back to the church, who have been so wonderful in supporting the Launceston Bereavement Group, it was fantastic to hear how much was raised on the night. Well done to the team and all involved!”
