LIZ Beare, who has been an integral part of Launceston Scouts for over 40 years and has been a leader in all of the troops (Beavers, Cubs and Scouts) at some time, has received a certificate in recognition of her service.

Liz is admired and revered in equal measure by the leaders, parents and young people she is involved with through scouting.

Many of the parents of the young scouts Liz sees each week have themselves been under her charge over the years when they were members of scouts.

Di Luckhurst, chairman of Launceston Scouts, said: “Liz’s knowledge and experience has proved invaluable over all these years and Launceston Scouts looks forward to drawing on that experience for another good few years!”
