A NORTH Cornwall literary charity has launched an appeal for volunteers to support its work.
The Charles Causley Trust, based in Launceston, has put the call out for volunteers to aid their work preserving and celebrating the work of the local poet.
The trust aims to keep alive the memory of the late Charles Causley, to raise the profile and appreciation of his work, and to promote writing and the other arts — especially in and around the South West.
Now the organisation has expressed that it is looking to grow the team behind its work.
A spokesperson said: “We’re currently looking to expand our team of volunteers to help manage our work in Launceston.
“We need volunteers to help customers visiting our pop-up shop at Merchant House, in the centre of town —‚ two to three hour slots; help with the handovers between guest stays at Charles' former home, Cyprus Well; and be part of the gardening team to maintain the gardens at Cyprus Well.”
The charity hosts a variety of events, including a recent poetry evening, with the aim of promoting literary creativity.
