LAUNCESTON Lions have shown their support for a local cause helping families experiencing childhood bereavement.

At their most recent meeting, Launceston Lions Club president Sue Tierney presented a cheque for £500 to Julie Parker, CEO of Penhaligon's Friends.

Penhaligon's Friends provides childhood bereavement support in Cornwall. This can be any member of the family or friends.

The organisation provides a way of supporting bereaved children and their carers. They enable children to meet with others with similar experiences, to help their understanding and ability to cope with the loss of a loved one.
