LEWANNICK Primary School has celebrated its most successful cross-country season yet with a special presentation evening.
Hosted at St. Mellion, 13 pupils were awarded medals for their achievements. To earn a medal, children had to compete in at least three out of the five races organised by East Cornwall Harriers.
In addition to this success, we proudly sent seven runners to the Newquay finals, where they competed against the top runners in Cornwall. To qualify, they had to either secure a spot at the Horningtops Race, organised by the East Cornwall Harriers, or perform well in a one-off event at Launceston College.
The school's Year 5/6 boys team also achieved an incredible result, finishing second overall in the East Cornwall Harriers Primary School Cross Country League.
