A NEW enterprise which will see profits ploughed back into providing Two Rivers' tenants with affordable homes and services has launched.

TwoCan property sales and lettings agency has been set-up by the not-for-profit organisation as a way of generating extra money to replace decreasing government funds.

The business works like a 'traditional housing estate agency', run by three people who will sell or let a property on behalf of the vendor and an 'unknown' percentage of profit will be gifted to Two Rivers.

This new venture coincides with other work Two Rivers are doing to drive down costs.

"This was the most natural business opportunity for Two Rivers to develop, as an experienced landlord with strong community values," explained Gerry McFall, managing director of the new subsidiary.

"TwoCan will operate by those same values and, when that combines with the 70 years' estate agency experience of the team, our clients can trust they will receive a professional service, delivered with honesty and integrity, while supporting a well-established charity."

TwoCan's manager, Simon Cawley added: "We know our success will help the people our parent organisation seeks to support for generations to come – and that's a really powerful motivator."

TwoCan is based at the Two Rivers Housing office in Newent, where the team will be able to call upon the support of many other relevant business experts.
