BUILDING in areas of outstanding natural beauty will become a more attractive proposition if new planning guidelines backed by Waverley's executive on Tuesday night are agreed by full council.

Changes to the National Planning Policy Framework mean developers no longer have to build affordable homes or make infrastructure contributions if they get site permissions for 10 or less houses.

But these rules do not apply in designated rural areas.
