For the last 75 years, a small Danish company has been producing little plastic building blocks which have won the world over, and now this building block empire is coming to Bude with an upcoming event.
On March 2, The Falcon Hotel in Bude will be transformed into a haven for construction and creativity as the Bude Bricktacular gets underway.
The LEGO exhibition event welcomes brick-lovers from across Cornwall to enjoy a feast for the eyes as local builders display their hard work.
The event has been created by PlymLUG, a group of LEGO️ Fans based in Plymouth. This is their first time bringing such an event to Bude; however, they have plenty of experience hosting similar events.
A spokesperson from the group said: “After hosting our first Lego show in Okehampton in July 2023, we were able to make a donation to a local charity, ‘Get Changed Theatre Company’.
“Our second event in Plympton, Plymouth in November 2023 was also a success where we were also able to make a donation to ‘Jeremiah’s Journey’ after this event.
“Our intention is to make a donation to ‘Corey’s Farm, Cornwall’ post event and as a non-profit organisation hope it to be substantial.
“We wanted to host our Third Lego show in one of our committee members hometown, and we are very proud to present Bude Bricktacular presented by PlymLUG.”
The occasion promises plenty of displays to enjoy as well as fun activities to get involved with.
More information can be found about the event on the group’s Facebook page.
