A 14-year-old from Lifton is jumping with joy after taking the top spot in a regional competition for trampolining.
Imogen Spooncer, who studies at Okehampton College, took the title of U19's intermediate winner at the BSGA South West Regional Schools Trampoline competition on Sunday (November 30).
Seventeen children from schools across the area took part in the South West Regional Schools Trampoline Competition at Taunton. The children 'performed exceptionally well' and the results included: 1, Imogen Spooncer, U19 Girls Intermediate, 1, Jake Bartlett from Budehaven Community School, and 3, Thomas Barriball, U11 boys novice.
They will now go through to represent their schools at the Southern Zonal Schools Competition in January.
All 17 children who train at Launceston Leisure Centre on Sundays, were accompanied by their coach Anne Dodds.
Anne also coaches at Callington Leisure Centre and in Saltash. Trampolining classes are also available in Okehampton.
