Hundreds has been raised following a charity tractor run in memory of a father and grandfather.
Friends and family of Edward Thomas have raised hundreds for Cancer Research UK, after they organised a charity tractor run in his memory. On October 22, Edward’s family met at Lawhitton Tractor Club with some of their grandfather’s favourite tractors.
Mrs Thomas, Edward’s wife said: “We couldn’t believe the amount of tractors that came along. Families, neighbours, and friends came from far and wide. Edward loved gong on tractor runs over the years. He would have been very proud of his family today.”
Tractors of all shapes and sizes attended, ready to brighten the area with their multi-colour paint jobs. The family thanked Lawhitton Tractor Club for letting them join the run, the ladies who served food, those who gave raffle prizes, and those who donated to the cause.
