THE Launceston Steam and Vintage Rally will be celebrating its 40th outing on May 25 to 27 — with plenty on offer for all the family.
Show secretary Jan Cooper said: “It is a great honour to be associated with the Steam Rally in its 40th Anniversary year. It takes many volunteers many hours of hard work to organise the event.”
With a wide range of exhibits from steam engines and horticulture to motorbikes and classic camping, there is plenty to see at the event which is held every year over the final bank holiday weekend in May.
There is also vintage games, fairground rides, laser tag, children’s animal treasure hunt and a Punch and Judy show, lots to keep the children entertained too.
A great trade section and craft marquee is expected with items that are sure to catch visitors eyes.
There is a fully licensed bar and visitors can grab something to eat from one of the many catering stands. The main ring will be full of activity with steam engines, big and small, proving their metal as well as the plethora of local vintage cars, motorbikes and tractors also on display.
The dog show will also be running on the Saturday and Sunday, with rosettes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. There’s also plenty of live music on those days too.
