A Launceston supermarket has held another successful toy appeal for Christmas.
Bundles of toys were donated to Launceston Foodbank thanks to donations from local Co-op customers and members over the past couple of weeks.
Last year Co-op member pioneer Gemma Massey introduced the idea of a toy appeal within local stores and at Co-op Funeralcare. Following a successful appeal in December 2022, Gemma went on to launch an annual Easter appeal too, all leading up to the most recent second toy appeal.
Gemma said: “It has been another difficult year for so many, to see the generosity from our customer yet again has been so heartwarming.
“Thank you to everyone who has taken time to drop off a toy to one of our collection points, it really will make a difference to our local children and families in need.”
The toys were delivered to Launceston Food Bank on Monday, December 11, and will now be included in hampers distributed to local families this Christmas.
