AT A time when the government is urging householders to be smart about domestic water use, three Launceston primary schools have been celebrating student winners in an educational art competition.

Posters designed by third year pupils in the primary schools promoted the importance of saving water.

Shannon Belringer, age seven, of St Stephens Community Primary School, and her classmates took part in the 'Let's All Save Water' schools art competition.
