AN 18-YEAR-OLD man from Launceston died following a road traffic collision which occurred at around 4.50am on Sunday.
The collision — between a Ford Focus and a pedestrian — took place on the eastbound carriageway off the slipway of the Pennygillam interchange on the A30, Launceston.
The pedestrian died at the scene. He was 18-years-old and from Launceston.
The driver of the car, who was also from Launceston, was taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, Wonford, where they received treatment for a fractured arm.
The eastbound carriageway was closed between Launceston and the Lifton onslip, and diversions were put into place.
