AS PART of the final push towards making a dream a reality, fundraisers for the Precious Lives Appeal are organising a sponsored tree surfing event at Gulworthy's Treesurfing Centre.
Eighty-five-year-old Toddie Irving, usually found doing the washing up at one of the Launceston Group of Friends of Children's Hospice South West's many fund raising events for the Precious Lives Appeal, has already abseiled down a cliff face, jumped off a mountain (para-gliding) and is now looking forward to showing the youngsters how how to surf a tree!
