LAUNCESTON Community Fire Station has launched its new Facebook page in an effort to increase its engagement with the community.

The team at the station hope to use the page to share what they get up to including the shouts they attend as well as providing homeowners with easy, useful home fire safety tips.

A spokesperson from the station said: "It’s a great way to communicate with the local community."
