THE speaker at the recent coffee morning of Launceston and District U3A was Stephen Howard from the V Learning Net.
He outlined the courses available under the programme ‘Second Chance Learning’, stressing the offer of free 10-hour courses in the basics of IT. He described how such courses could be tailored on an individual basis to cover any aspect of technology, such as basic computer use, emailing, using Skype etc.

The Launceston U3A meets at a coffee morning on the last Friday of every month, except December, 10.15am at the hall at Launceston Central Methodist Church.
