THE VILLAGE of St Teath was turned into a truly special winter wonderland as it welcomed the Christmas season in style with its annual christmas light switch on.

The day of celebrations began with something for the children, with Santa himself making an appearance in the village with a grotto to find out what it is that its younger residents are hoping to get when he visits on Christmas Eve.

This was followed by the big moment, as crowds of people congregated to witness an otherwise dark night lit up with the bright lights of Christmas as the switch-on occurred.

A spokesperson for the group organising the St Teath Christmas Lights said: “Wow just wow! Thank you to everyone who came along to watch the switch on last night, and there were so many of you!. I’m sure you will all agree what a spectacular event it was. The lights and decorations look absolutely amazing.”
