WAVERLEY Council members re-elected Haslemere East and Grayswood borough councillor Robert Knowles as leader on Tuesday night.

Mr Knowles, who became a borough councillor in May 2007, has held the position since 2009. The former police officer said: "I am delighted to be re-elected as leader and I will continue to put the needs of our residents first."
