ESTATE agents Kivells will this year be partnering Macmillan Cancer Support and will host a variety of fundraising events to raise money for the charity.

Members of staff from all of Kivells’ office and market locations will be taking part in fundraising events throughout the year.

Their campaign began at the start of February when Sian Ward Edwards, the Macmillian Cancer Support fundraising manager, visited some of the team.

Sian said: “We are so excited that Kivells have decided to support Macmillan with some promotions and fundraising. We rely on support like this from the local community to be able to help the growing number of people affected by cancer. Huge thanks to the team for their support that will really make a difference.”

Rachael Hopper, marketing executive at Holsworthy Livestock Market, said: “Kivells has chosen Macmillan as its charity partner for 2016 because it’s such a well know charity and everyone knows someone who has been affected with cancer.”

The team hopes to support the charity with a few events planned for each month. These include a fundraising idea where Kivells will donate £10 to Macmillan for every instruction: residential sales, farms department, commercial and new landlord instructions for letting. This means for every seller who decides to put their house, farm, commercial property or rental property on the market with Kivells during February, the estate agents will donate £10 to the charity.

From across the four departments and office locations it is hoped they will be able to build up a nice sum to be added to the overall amount to be donated to the charity.

A JustGiving page has also been set up to aid fundraising efforts for another event members of the Kivells team will be taking part in on April 17.

Kivells will encourage friends, family, clients and other businesses to donate and sponsor staff members who will be running in the Plymouth Half Marathon on behalf of Macmillan.

Those taking part in the marathon are, from the Launceston office: Lauren Bellas, Thomas Rattray, Philip Wiltshire, Kerri Hamlyn, Poppy Yeo.

From Holsworthy Market: Emma Peberdy, director David Kivell, Jackie Cheqwyn, Rachael Hopper.

Also taking part is James Morrison from the Callington office, Sam Turner from the Liskeard office and Sam Hockin from the Bude office.
