Children and staff of Kingfisher Nursery, Boyton recently enjoyed a visit to Homeleigh Garden Centre, Launceston. The children have been recycling yoghurt pots from their lunch to plant seeds in, making 'cress people' and using larger recycled containers to re-plant lavenders etc. At the visit to Homeleigh the children were able to look for different colours on the plants and at the shapes and sizes of trees and shrubs. Jane from Homeleigh showed the children various herbs which they were able to use their senses to touch and smell. The children were treated to squash and biscuits in the restaurant before making some purchases and finishing up in the aquatic centre before leaving.
