A TINTAGEL property formerly owned by Kate Winslet and destroyed by fire last year has received planning consent to be turned into a new dwelling.
Now derelict, Castle Minor was owned for ten years by actress Kate Winslet after which it was gutted by fire last year.
Inspired by the culture and myths of this fabled area, CSA have incorporated stone buttresses which appear to "emerge from the landscape".
Similar to a small Iron Age settlement, the architects have designed it so that the curve of the building will create a protected 'keep' at the centre of the home.
In playful reference to the fabled Tintagel Castle opposite, the new design also includes a moat and drawbridge.
