ALL the wonder of the Big Top came to Boscastle School when pupils presented Cirque Des Heureux for their parents as their end of year performance. The circus story told how Viggo Vincenzo's travelling circus changes the dreary lives of downtrodden townsfolk and how the plight of a Nightingale transforms the scornful, stone-faced mayor into a generous, forgiving leader. The play was specially written and directed by Maria Douglas and featured clowns, stunt cyclists, a trapeze artist, a strongman, a mind reader and a magician. The children thoroughly enjoyed the show. For the full report, and a round up of the latest area news and sport, see this week's edition of the Post.
