A traditional hunt had to adapt this year as its usual venue was not available.
For the last 100 years the East Cornwall Hunt, as it is now known, has been meeting at Jamaica Inn, however, due to Christmas and Boxing Day closures the hunt had to make alternative arrangements.
Riders, hounds and supporters were fortunate to be able to meet just a few hundred feet down the road.
Clear weather made for a good meet as many came together after the festive period to catch up and see the hunt off as it chased the pre-laid trail set earlier in the day.
The riders were waved off by a large crowd as they headed up across the moors for a splendid morning ride.
