WOULD-be developers hoping to build 24 eco homes on a site off Lion Lane in Haslemere faced a hostile crowd at Haslewey Community Centre on Monday when they organised an open meeting for residents who turned out in force.

The Green Way proposed development is for 24 houses, with half meeting the "affordable" homes criteria, plus 50 car park spaces and four "commercial live-work units".
