THE head of the South Eastern Hampshire Clinical Commissioning Group has backed plans for a shake-up in acute hospital services.

The Herald reported last month on plans by the NHS for a pioneering project to bring medical treatments out of acute hospitals and closer to home will be rolled out across East Hampshire.

Liphook and Liss GP Dr Barbara Rushton, who chairs the clinical commissioning group, said: "This new approach means we have a chance to tackle those problems."
