HOLSWORTHY Primary School began the new school year last Wednesday, September 5 with a new headteacher; 43-year-old Christiaan Stirling.

Although he was born in Manchester, Mr Stirling has lived in Devon for most of his life and regards himself as a Devonian, although he now lives just across the border in Cornwall with his wife and two sons aged six and ten.
