Holsworthy Primary School recently enjoyed a week of art, music and dance activities. All pupils, from the nursery up to Year 6, were involved in the activities which covered all aspects of art including drawing, painting, clay, textiles, collage etc. During the week Years 3 and 4 visited the Mythic Gardens at Whiddon Down after which they made masks, and Years 5 and 6 paid a visit Rosemoor Gardens from which they created paintings and textiles. A local beekeeper went into the school one day during the week helping pupils to make bee models, and the Holsworthy Family Resource Centre helped the Reception children make mini beasts. Visitors during the week also included folk band Balamouk and dance students from Budehaven School. On the Friday, parents were invited into the school to view the pupils' work. Teacher Mrs Priest said: "It was a fantastic week, really very creative and imaginative. The children had a great time too which is what it's all about."
