LAST year's Year 11 at Holsworthy Community College (HCC) missed out on the opportunity to achieve the college's best ever results by the smallest of margins.
One extra mark would have seen their results equal the college's best ever of 59 per cent in 2008 and less than a handful would have seen them break 60 per cent five +A* to C including English and maths for the first time in the college's history. It is hoped some requested re-marks may still see these milestones achieved.
For the second year running, candidates in English Language GCSE performed to the highest of expectations with 73 per cent A* to C. Over 99 per cent of pupils achieved an E grade or better.
