AROUND 200 dogs and their owners arrived at Clinton Hall, Merton, for Dartmooor Dog Training Club's summer agility show recently.
These were all beginner dogs, some just starting out in agility competitions and some a little more experienced.
Dogs entered in the show were of all shapes and sizes from German Shepherds and Weimaranas, to small Cocker Spaniels and Jack Russells.
Over 100 dogs competed in a class sponsored by the Penbode Veterinary Group. The winner was Jonathan Woodger from Rewe, Exeter, with his six-year-old collie Little Miss Elsa in 21.085 seconds.
Second place went to Will Steward from Barnstaple and his two-and-a-half-year-old WSD Comic Kes. Dartmoor member Karen Hall from Brandis Corner, with her two and a half year old WSD Molly, came third being just over two seconds slower than the winning dog.
Over £100 was raised for Devon Air Ambulance.
Thanks have been expressed to everybody who helped make the show a success.
