As part of the Holsworthy Town Council celebrations for the Kings Coronation, the Memorial Hall was set up to celebrate the role local organisations and stakeholders play within the wider Holsworthy community.
Holsworthy Community College was able to showcase some of the community work it has taken part in during the last few months.
This included the community litter pick as part of the ‘Big Help Out’ volunteering event, the community fridge and support for the local food bank.
A spokesperson said: “We were also able to take this opportunity to showcase some of the amazing art and design skills of the Holsworthy students.”
The theme was to celebrate the historic event that is the King’s Coronation. Students undertook individual projects, using skills and methods they have learnt within their art curriculum to produce some stunning original designs.
These photographs show a snapshot of some of the award winners. Kate Urquhart deserves great credit for inspiring these students within their art lessons and co-ordinating this art display at the Memorial Hall.
Holsworthy Community College continues to strive to be a genuine part of the wider Holsworthy community. We are proud of our students and love to recognise the positive role they can play within local clubs, organisations and groups to improve the wider community.
