ARMY Cadets from Holsworthy have participated in a fun mud run organised by and in support of Bradworthy Primary School.
The 18 cadets joined hundreds of other runners who turned out to help the appeal and with torrential downpours of heavy rain the conditions couldn’t have been better.
The cadet teams ran both the 1k and 2.5k routes and were inspirational to some of the younger runners who, on seeing the cadets crawl through some of the obstacles rather than run, decided to follow suit.
Engaging with the local community is part of army cadet training and the cadets all thoroughly enjoyed the challenge.
After the event, representatives from Bradworthy Primary School visited the cadets at their detachment location in Holsworthy and were presented with a cheque for £360 being the total raised by the cadets through entrance fees and sponsorship.
