The Penstowe Owners Association in Penstowe Holiday Park, Kilkhampton had surplus funds and decided to support seven local charities.
Roger Seward nominated the Bude CFR’s as he appreciated the important life saving service they provide to the area.
Roger said: “This is particularly relevant with the difficulties the Ambulance Service face today and with the nearest A&E hospital 25 miles away at Barnstaple.”
Trudi Lindsay, receiving the cheque on behalf of her team, explained that the donation was most welcome as the CFR’s had to finance the running costs of the two liveried vehicles used in their voluntary life saving work.
The owners of lodges on Penstowe Park will also be making donations to Bude RNLI, Bude Seapool, Bude Foodbank, Bude Life Saving Club, Cornwall Wildlife and Born To Be Wild.
