EAST Hampshire District Council has voted unanimously to grant permission to the largest planning application it has ever considered.

The application, discussed at last Thursday's planning committee meeting, will "transform" Whitehill and Bordon, with 2,400 homes, jobs, infrastructure and new centre.

The plans outline how the town will be regenerated when Bordon Garrison closes later this year, freeing land for development.
