SHOTTERMILL Infant School's championship of healthy living has been officially recognised with a special award.

Staff and pupils are celebrating gaining Surrey County Council's Healthy Schools Enhanced Status Award.

Shottermill gained its "healthy school" status in 2008 and has been busy building upon it.

School governors have supported the initiative by agreeing funding to create a properly fitted cookery area.
