THE total number of people in Cornwall that have died after contracting Coronavirus has reached 24.

Three more people in the county passed away on Sunday, April 5 after they had tested positive for the virus. There were 621 Coronavirus related deaths recorded across the UK.

Public Health England also announce that there are currently 187 cases of COVID-19 in Cornwall.

According to the Department of Health, the number who have tested positive across the UK, as of 9am on Sunday, now stands at 47,806.
