Sir, I am a 93-year-old disabled lady, but get about with my trusty wheeler. On Friday last week, I went on the bus to Haverfordwest for shopping. On walking home later and feeling tired and trying to avoid the scaffolding outside my flat, I obviously went too near the edge of the pavement, my wheeler tipped and I with it, landing quite heavily on the road. There was no-one around; even the painters were at lunch. I was so lucky, though, as around the corner came a couple who rushed to my help. The gentleman I knew would need help to get me up, when thankfully another couple came around the corner and the two gentlemen picked me up. The first couple kindly stayed with me until they could see I could walk and then kindly helped me into my flat. I would like, through your newspaper, to thank both couples for their concern and great kindness to me. After such a heavy fall, I was lucky to get away with bruises to back, arm and foot with a broken toe. I would also like to thank my really good friend Bobby for all his kind help to me the next day when he helped me to get to my sister for lunch.

Mrs. Joyce Clift,

South Cliff Gardens, Tenby.
