RESIDENTS and families at the Hatherleigh Care Village celebrated its first National Grandparents' Day recently.

Grandchildren attended the event with their grandparents and great grandparents in PSP Healthcare locations across the South West and Wales.

At Hatherleigh Care Village, dozens turned up to celebrate the event which was held with art stations set up for the children, their parents and residents to share. A granddad puppet show, 'name that 20s star guessing game' colouring and painting, gave plenty of opportunities for interaction between those taking part. The activities gave a change for the generations to bond in a unique informal setting.
