A GOOD turnout of volunteers came to help clean up the village of Chilsworthy on Saturday.
They collected several bags of rubbish during the ‘Chilsworthy Village Clean Up’ organised by Holsworthy Hamlets Parish Council. Fourteen volunteers gave up their time on a lovely sunny Saturday morning to come out and clean up their village. They were Ray Fursdon, Alastair Clements, Julia Foster, Eleanor Foster (aged 8), Tim Penny, Martin Gainsbury, David West, Rob Hore, Ruby Martin, David Campbell, Sylvia Argyrou, Evelyn Sharman and Martin Hacker.
The volunteers were treated to bacon rolls and hot dogs in the village hall once they’d finished working and thanks were expressed to David and Christine Campbell for cooking the food.
Holsworthy Hamlets Parish Council is organising a second village clean up event on Saturday, April 29, in Staddon Road and Chasty starting at 10am — all volunteers will be very welcome.
