MANY people came out to support the Clawton Tractor Run on Sunday, May 27, which was raising funds for the local parish hall and church.
Martin Redwood from Clawton organised the tractor run, which started at the Clawton parish hall.
The drivers stopped off at Week St Mary for the halfway point before continuing their journey back to Clawton.
Clawton parish hall secretary Ruth Harris said: “We decided to carry out the tractor run as we are trying to raise enough funds to tarmac the village hall car park.
“The proceeds were split between the parish hall and the parish church as they are also needing funds to keep our local church open.
“We served bacon rolls, tea and coffee before the run and then a choice of stew or chilli when they returned with a range of puddings to follow.”
More than 30 tractors attended and helped to raise more than £700 towards the hall and church.
A raffle was also held, with several prizes to include a hamper and vouchers for local businesses.
Ruth added: “The weather was great for us and I believe everyone enjoyed themselves.”
