New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Cornwall’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them both.

Onzo Pizzeria, at Onzo, The Old Lifeboat House, Wharf Road, St Ives was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on May 7.

And The Bakery, at 12 Queen Street, Bude, Cornwall was also given a score of five on May 7.

It means that of Cornwall's 1,575 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 1,271 (81%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
