As part of the Pembrokeshire Outdoor Schools programme, Year 6 pupils at Golden Grove School explored their school pond and woodland.

They were equipped with scoop nets, pond and stream nets and more, hunting for all sorts of creepy crawlies.

A pop-up laboratory was established in the classroom, complete with trays, microscopes, measuring kit and more.

Most of the finds were made within the school boundary whilst some were made in the stream which runs thorough the upper common opposite the school.

Head teacher Mr. Andrew Williams said: "It was a pleasure to see the pupils getting fully involved with the activity; the classroom come laboratory was a hive of activity. I want to thank Darwin Experience for their good work."
