STEAM fans hoping to restore train services to Ashburton after more than 40 years have said they could mount a legal challenge to a scheme they said would scupper their chances for good.

Earlier this year Dartmoor National Park Authority adopted the Chuley Road Masterplan, a report that sets out a vision for the area's redevelopment.

The eight-acre site is earmarked for housing, commercial and employment uses as well as a public car park.
