PLANNING consent has been granted on appeal to demolish Barkers Garden Machinery in Grayswood and build two new homes.
Waverley Borough Council used delegated powers to refuse the application last October on the grounds it would prejudice the aims of Local Plan policy, which is concerned with protecting local and village shops.
But planning inspector David Smith had no objection to the switch from commercial to residential.
