Having pulled together to raise funds for Wales Air Ambulance at their recent plane pull, members of Girlguiding Pembrokeshire revisited Withybush Airport last week to present a cheque for £1,345 to Tony Key, Pembrokeshire's co-ordinator for Wales Air Ambulance.
Accepting the cheque, Mr. Key was full of praise for the girls.
"I'd like to thank you on behalf of Wales Air Ambulance," he said.
"It costs £1,500 each time we take off, you've just saved a life. We couldn't do it without you."
Guider Kathy Gunner from 7th Haverfordwest Brownies said: "Girlguiding Cymru had the idea of girls working together as a team to face a challenge and Withybush Airport were delighted to help out. We decided to make it a FUNdraising opportunity and the Wales Air Ambulance seemed a natural choice as they are a well-known charity based in Wales that the girls were familiar with. Every community could potentially benefit from our support and their members were also able to be involved in the event. Everyone who took part had a great time and really pulled together."
